Denver Photoblog #1
Mon Aug 25, 2008 at 04:50:06 PM PDT
For those of you who can’t be in Denver, I offer a modest photo diary. I can’t take you inside the Pepsi Center, since I don’t have credentials, but at least you’ll get a bit of the flavor of Denver under the influence of 50,000 Democrats, press and assorted other folks.
NYC Meetup Photos -- milkshakes and all

Finally, here is the better-late-than-never photo diary from Thursday night’s magnificent NYC Kossacks Meetup at the New York Milkshake Company.
Thanks to the fantastic arrangements made by mindoca and the very accommodating manager at the shake place, we had a group of tables set aside for us by the time kath25 and srkp23 arrived.

NYC Kossack MEETUP: Something for (almost) everyone
Mon Aug 04, 2008 at 05:09:21 PM PDT
So...
I posted a diary a few days ago looking for venue suggestions for this Thursday's meetup. This is our big summer meetup, and we'll be joined by out-of-town kossacks kath25 and captainlaser.
People came up with some wonderful suggestions, but the best of all came from lipris: an outdoor space in lower manhattan where people could eat, drink or just hang out. It sounded perfect...
NYC Kossack MEETUP next week ! *Update*
Mon Jul 28, 2008 at 04:23:14 PM PDT
As promised, there's going to be a post-Netroots Nation meetup. It will be held on Thursday, August 7.
Coincidentally, two out-town kossacks, captainlaser and kath25, will be visiting our fair city on August 7 :)
UPDATE
I think we have a venue! Lipris suggested the coolest spot in NYC, and I didn't even know it existed. Let's pray for good weather, but I'll make sure we have somewhere to head if it starts to rain.
Hey, and I just looked it up -- Stone Street has free wifi -- LIVEBLOG!
Netroots Nation photoblog -- live from the Hilton

I'm sitting in the hotel lobby with kath25 and a bunch of bloggers. A lot of people have left already, but the rest of us are here talking and typing away on our laptops.
Here's a little photoblog of my time in Austin.
UPDATE: Thanks for all the recs! I just got home (yes, it's 1:30 am) to find this on the Rec list.

What a nice way to start my day, even if it was a very, very early start :)
It was so wonderful to be in a room with a couple thousand (mostly) Women for Obama.
I have to run shortly, but wanted to get a few photos posted and give some impressions.
Vote 4 Change at NETROOTS NATION: Turn Texas Blue!
Mon Jul 07, 2008 at 05:09:25 PM PDT
A Texas win may be a longshot for Obama, but even if he doesn't win the state, there's a good chance Dems will make gains in downticket races. Barack Obama and Howard Dean are planning to make inroads in every state in the country.

Last night we had our first NYC meetup in six months. It was great to see kossacks I hadn't seen for too long and to meet some terrific new people.
Below the fold are a few photo highlights. Apologies for the short diary, but photos and captions is all I have time for.

I posted a version of this about a month ago, but it didn't get much traction. I thought I'd try again tonight, when the primary is really, really over.
Please add a comment letting us know what you did or thanking others you know who worked hard to bring an Obama victory.

Some of my souvenirs from the campaign trail.

The event that drew us all to the UPenn campus on a Saturday was a one-day Activist Training workshop organized by Asian Pacific Americans for Progress and the DNC. We learned about the Democratic Party's plans for the 2008 election, including goals, messaging and new tools for activists.
